About Homeifyy

I make homes
feel like
you.

Homeifyy is written entirely by me β€” Avery Lane. It’s a site built out of years of decorating real rooms in real homes, with real budgets that don’t stretch to an interior designer.

No ghost-written content. No paid recommendations. Just what I’ve genuinely learned, bought, and tried.

How a frustrating rental flat turned into a site for everyone decorating with real constraints

It started in a rented flat with magnolia walls, cold-toned lighting, and zero budget. I’d spend hours reading dΓ©cor blogs and watching YouTube tours, and none of it β€” not a single post β€” spoke to someone in my situation.

They all assumed I owned my home. Or that I had a spare bedroom to turn into a “reading nook.” Or that I could knock through walls and install underfloor heating. I couldn’t. Most people can’t.

“I wanted to read a site that was honest about renting, about tight budgets, about rooms that face the wrong way. That site didn’t exist β€” so I built it.”

Homeifyy launched as my answer to that gap. A place where the room sizes are normal, the budgets are real, and the advice is written by someone who’s actually tried it β€” not copied it from a press release.

Eight years in, across three homes and two rental flats, I’ve developed a genuine understanding of what actually transforms a room versus what just photographs well. That’s the difference I try to bring to every post on this site.

What
Homeifyy
stands for

Three principles that shape every post published on this site

01

Budget-honest always

Every post includes the cost reality. Splurge items are labelled. Cheaper alternatives are always offered. Beautiful rooms should not require a designer’s budget.

02

Real spaces, not show homes

Advice on Homeifyy is written for standard rooms β€” not open-plan conversions with south-facing light. If it works in a narrow hallway, you’ll find it here.

03

Slow dΓ©cor mindset

The best rooms are built slowly and deliberately. Homeifyy encourages thoughtful buying over trend-chasing β€” the one piece bought right beats ten bought fast.
